The festival looks to change awareness and behaviours, and unite actions in the community to stop pollution and environmental degradation. It specifically encouraged replacing plastic bags with eco-friendly materials. After the launch ceremony, thousands of people joined beach clean-up activities along Con Son Bay.
Alongside the beach clean-up, organisers held communications activities calling on people to stop using single-use plastics, and distributed thousands of reusable fabric bags to locals and tourists.
