Vietnam ranks 11th globally in online shopping

According to a Nielsen IQ Vietnam survey, Vietnamese consumers spend an average of 13 hours per week watching livestream sales. The country ranks 11th globally for online shopping activity.

The three most popular livestream shopping platforms in Vietnam are Facebook, Shopee, and TikTok. Each month, over 50,000 sellers host approximately 2.5 million livestream sales sessions.

The five leading e-commerce platforms collectively generate an average monthly revenue of 25.3 trillion VND, equivalent to around 1 billion USD.

Experts note that social media and e-commerce are shaping a new labor force of influential individuals. These creators not only provide high-quality products but also create meaningful value for society. This trend is considered inevitable and deserving of recognition./.
