Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and other National Assembly deputies of Quang Nam province on December 3 met with voters in Nong Son and Que Son districts in the central province.

Deputy head of the province’s delegation of National Assembly deputies Tran Xuan Vinh briefed voters on the main outcomes of the sixth session of the 13th National Assembly, including the adoption of the amended Constitution and eight laws.

He reported that the NA had considered cutting unnecessary expenses to invest in developing agriculture, rural areas, health and education, as well as abolishing small and ineffective hydro power projects.

Voters voiced their hopes to receive more attention and support to upgrade infrastructure, build dykes along Thu Bon River and deal with water pollution.

Phuc asked local authorities and people, particularly Party members, to join hands in the locality’s socio-economic construction.

He stressed the need for the districts to pay attention to personnel training, increase people’s intellectual standards and develop household economies.-VNA
