Dong Nai imposes social distancing from 0:00 on July 9

The southern province of Dong Nai has decided to apply social distancing measures within 15 days from 0:00 on July 9 in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic has been developing complicatedly in the locality.

Dong Nai (VNA) – The southern province of Dong Nai hasdecided to apply social distancing measures within 15 days from 0:00 on July 9in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic has been developing complicatedly in the locality.

The province will allow production facilities, transport and construction sites and sellers ofnecessities such as food and petrol to continue working, but they must ensure pandemicprevention and control measures.

Unnecessary activities will be halted to minimise massgatherings, including public transportation, except transportation for publicmissions, workers, experts, construction materials and goods.

People’s committees at all levels, COVID-19 prevention and control groups and otherforces were asked to oversee those who are self-quarantining at home and those coming from Ho ChiMinh City, Binh Duong and pandemic-hit areas.

As of July 8 afternoon, the province recorded 160 COVID-19 cases, including 128 infections in the fourth wave of outbreaks since April 27, 93 of them wererelated to Hoc Mon wholesale market in Ho Chi Minh City./.
