Poor outstanding students in the southern province of Dong Nai were awarded scholarships from Ajinomoto Vietnam company on September 18.
190 primary and secondary students each received 800,000 VND, while 50 senior high school students were given 1.2 million each.
This is the 7 th time the company has granted scholarships to poor students in Dong Nai. A total of 1,500 poor students benefited from the programme since the 2004-2005 academic years.
Also on the occasion, students who are victims of Agent Orange from 6 districts, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city were offered 212 scholarships worth a total 183.5 million VND.
The programme was jointly held by Dong Nai’s Department of Education and Training and Dong Nai provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin./.
