Don’s Tay Ho, a restaurant run by Canadian chef Donald Berger in Hanoi, has been listed among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2013.

Diners at the chef’s bistro can enjoy both local and foreign dishes, including Canadian Foie Gras, and Vietnamese banh xeo (sizzling fried pancakes made from rice flour, turmeric, and slivers of belly pork and shrimp) and banh cuon (steamed rice rolls).

The bistro’s owner, Donald Berger, was born in Montreal, Canada, and worked for a number of the region’s 5-star hotels before settling in Hanoi.

He has toured around Asia as a chef and participated in many official events, including some organised by the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam.

Last March, Don’s Tay Ho also won the San Pellegrino Award in Singapore for Vietnam’s Best Restaurant.-VNA
