Seoul (VNA) – A high-level delegation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) arrived in the Republic of Korea (RoK) on February 25 morning via Paju checkpoint to attend the PyeongChang Winter Olympics closing ceremony.
The eight-member delegation, led by Kim Yong-chol, director of the United Front Department of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee, is scheduled to make a three-day trip to the RoK.
The Winter Games is set to close late February 25 after 17 days of competition.
The DPRK sent 22 athletes and hundreds of cheer team members and artists to the event. - VNA
