Hanoi (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City police said onMarch 20 that they had cracked down on a drug trafficking ring, seizing 50bricks of heroin and 35kg of synthetic drug.

After an investigation period, the police on February 25 caught red-handed two personstrading two bricks of heroin. From the two, they urgently arrested Nguyen HoangDanh, born in 1997 and residing in Tan Binh district, and Dang Xuan Hai, bornin 1960 and residing in Tan Binh district, seizing30 heroin bricks, two bags of crystal meth, and three bags of synthetic drug pills.

Through further investigation, the police arrested four others, and seized 18 bricksof heroin, and three bags containing a large number of synthetic drug pills.

In the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien, the provincial border guardforce in on March 20 caught Sung A Phong, born in 1968 and residing in DienBien Dong district, when he was transporting 600 synthetic drug pillsand 2 grams of heroin in an area near the Vietnam-Laos border./.

Second government legislation meeting reviews draft bills
