According to Le Huy Minh, Director of the Centre for Earthquake Information and Tsunami Forecasts under the Institute of Geophysics , the epicentre of the 3.6-magnitude earthquake on April 26 was 14 km from Lai Chau town at a depth of 4 km.
The earthquake took place in several seconds, causing no damage for the province, Minh said./.
