Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has said education and training are always a priority of the Government, particularly in remote areas, such as those in the northernmost province of Ha Giang.
He made the remark at a ceremony on April 22 inaugurating a school in Bo Loa village of the province’s Giap Trung commune.
The project, worth 350 million VND (16,700 USD) funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will replace the old school which was hit hard by floods in June 2012.
On this occasion, the ministry presented the school with 50 million VND (nearly 2,400 USD) to improve educational facilities.
Also on April 22, Minh made a fact-finding tour to the economic zone of Thanh Thuy Border Gate and Binh Vang Industrial Park in Vi Xuyen district.-VNA
