Electrical appliance giants, Samsung and Sony, are Vietnamese consummers’ favourite brands, according to a recent survey conducted by Superbrands in collaboration with global market-research firm, Nielsen Vietnam Company.

Locally produced Vinamilk was third, and another local favourite, Viettel, claimed the fourth spot. Big C and Toshiba tied for fifth position.

The remaining places in the top 10 were taken by well-known international brands Honda, Nokia, LG and KFC.

Mark Pointer, chairman of Superbrands Vietnam, said: “In highly competitive and emerging markets such as Vietnam, it is vitally important to build strong brands in order to develop and retain customer loyalty and sustain business growth.”

The resulting list will be the only independently voted consumer index of brand preference in Vietnam, he said.

Simon Fraser, Superbrands Vietnam Country Director, said representatives from the brands featured in the list would be invited to attend and participate in Superbrands programame of marketing and public relations activities.

“We are delighted to offer this opportunity to brands in Vietnam to join our programme and lift their brand to the status of a superbrand,” he added./.
