Exhibition marks 52nd anniversary of AO catastrophe

An exhibition in response to the 52nd anniversary of the Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin catastrophe in Vietnam opened to the public in central Da Nang city on July 23.
An exhibition in response to the 52nd anniversary of the Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin catastrophe in Vietnam opened to the public in central Da Nang city on July 23.

The exhibition - themed “Agent Orange – Sense and Justice” aims to raise local people and foreigners’ awareness of the impacts the toxic Agent Orange had on the environment and people in Vietnam, calling for social support for victims’ struggle for justice as well as their fight against pains and difficulties.

The event, running until August 12, displays photos and exhibits related to the use of AO/Dioxin by the US army and its harm on Vietnam ’s environment and people.

It also features the activities of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) in Da Nang city, and the settlement of Dioxin residues in Vietnam.

A souvenir stall displaying products made by AO victims is a bright light at the event, manifesting their great aspirations.-VNA
