Gia Lai (VNA) – An exhibition on Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos opened at the Gia Trung detention centre in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai on November 11.

On display are 120 big-sized maps and images together with about 40 books on Vietnam’s sea and islands.

The week-long event, jointly organised by the provincial museum and the detention centre’s management, aims to educate the more than 3,000 inmates on national sovereignty and patriotism, contributing to their rehabilitation.

To date, more than 41 exhibitions of historical evidence and artefacts on Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos have been organised across the country by the Ministry of Information and Communication and relevant bodies, attracting large numbers of visitors.-VNA
