HCM City (VNA) - Forty photosportraying red-shanked doucs taken by Da Nang-based freelance photographer LePhuoc Chin have been displayed at Ho Chi Minh City’s Book Pedestrian Street.
Red-shanked doucs live mostly on Son TraIsland in Da Nang.
“I’ve worked hard for 18 months on Son TraMountain to capture beautiful pictures on these cute doucs,” he said.
More than 5,000 photos and 300 videos ofthe animal have been taken, with 40 of the photos for exhibition.
“I hope my photos introduce the beauty ofmy homeland to residents,” said Chin, who was a former headmaster of Da NangVocational Training College.
“I love Son Tra, its nature and creatures.And I love to take photos of them.”
On the opening of the exhibition onNovember 23, Chin introduced his photo books titled Bau Vat Son Tra (Treasuresof Son Tra), featuring his best works on Son Tra and red-shanked doucs.
The book sells for 33 million VND (1,450USD). All proceeds will be used to protect Son Tra.-VNA
