Following the General’sfuneral, the exhibition helps visitors understand more about the reveredleader from his childhood to revolutionary activities, contributions tothe national construction and defence, and his daily life.
General Giap passed away in Hanoi on October 4 at the age of 103. Asan eminent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, the first General andCommander-in-Chief of the Vietnamese People’s Army, he was loved andrespected by the people and international friends, and was pride ofgenerations of officers and soldiers nationwide.
The same day, another exhibition themed “Moments without gun shots”was also started at the museum with about 500 photos and objects
