Exhibition showcases mountainous culture and people

An exhibition highlighting the beauty of mountainous culture and people is currently taking place at the Exhibition House, 16 Ngo Quyen, Hanoi.

Titled "Indigo Shades 3," the exhibition features 47 paintings by seven artists from Bac Kan province, each offering a unique perspective on life in the mountains.

The artists use a variety of materials, including woodcut, oil, lacquer, acrylic, and silk, to depict scenes of stilt houses in the early morning mist, daily activities like spinning, weaving, and embroidery, as well as the vibrant traditional costumes of ethnic girls.

The vivid and familiar scenes in the paintings come to life through the eyes of artists born and raised in the mountains, deeply immersed in the ethnic culture.

The exhibition will run at the Exhibition House until August 3./.
