The seventh International Exhibition for Young Inventors opened in Hanoi on Dec. 16 with the participation of representatives from the World Intellectual Property Organisation, Japan Institute of Innovation and Inventions and delegations from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Vietnam.
The event, the first of its kind in Vietnam , was organised by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), the ministries of Finance, Security, and Foreign Affairs, and the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations.
Ho Uy Liem, deputy chairman of VUSTA said the event provided a chance for Vietnamese youths to exchange experiences and strengthen friendship and mutual understanding among Vietnamese and international talents.
Vietnamese young people aged between 6 and 19 entered their inventions in five categories, of study aids, software, children’s toys, environmental protection and energy-saving solutions.
This year, over 400 inventors from 22 countries and territories attended the event with 127 projects. Vietnam had over 100 young inventors from 25 cities and provinces at the event with 89 products.
The event will last till Dec. 18./.
