Three classrooms and a tower were inaugurated at Thon Don pagoda in An Binh ward, Rach Gia city, in the southern province of Kien Giang on Mar. 13.

The projects were built at a cost of nearly 1.3 billion VND (62,000 USD), which was contributed by enterprises and Buddhist followers.

The classrooms will serve as places for monks, nuns, Buddhist followers and their children to learn Buddhist dogma and the Khmer language, while the tower will be used as a place of worship.

Thon Don pagoda was built in 1886 and was a revolutionary establishment during the past resistance war against foreign invaders.-VNA
