Fashion week celebrates 45 years of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam-Italy Autumn-Winter Fashion Week will takeplace in Hanoi from March 14-19 as part of activities to mark 45 years of thediplomatic ties between the two countries, designer Minh Hanh, member of theorganising board, said on March 14.

Themed “Sustainability”, the fashion week is not only a kaleidoscope of fashioncollections but also serves as a link to connect cultural values of both nations,making contributions to promoting the friendship and bilateral cooperativeties, she noted.

The latest collections of 18 Vietnamese and Italian designers, including MinhHanh, Phuong Thanh, Nhi Hoang, Michele Gaudiomonte and Bianco Levrin, will be onshowed at Dien Hong Garden, the downtown district of Hoan Kien from March 17-19.

An exhibition highlighting the process of making Vietnamese traditional silkwill be included in the event. Artisans from Van Phuc village (Hanoi), Nha Xavillage (Ha Nam province) and Bao Loc district (Lam Dong province) will performtheir weaving skills.
