Festival for disabled children launched

A two-day festival for disabled children took place in the Hon Tam Island Tourism Site in Nha Trang Bay, in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

Khanh Hoa (VNA) - A two-day festival for disabled children took place in the Hon Tam Island Tourism Site in Nha Trang Bay, in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

The festival, ended on May 29, was held in reponse to the annual Vietnam Action Month for Children which was first launched in 2013.

As many as 650 disabled children, and 180 teachers from 35 disabled children centres in 25 provinces and cities in central, Central Highlands and southern areas joined the festival.

During the festival, disabled children took part in different activities including swimming, playing football, drawing, colouring plaster statues and singing. They also received health examinations.

Sets of presents, worth 30-50 million VND (1,300-2,200 USD), were given to disabled children centres joining the festival.-VNA
