A five-day festival dubbed “2014 Spring Honours National Culture” concluded with a big art performance on April 9 night at Bao Son Paradise Park in Hanoi to raise fund for needy studious children.

Themed “The Spring Aspiration”, the programme drewthe participation of various art troupes from Hanoi and neighbouringlocalities, as well as many pop stars.

Addressingthe event, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong saidthe event contributed to preserving and promoting the traditionalculture of the nation. It also helped raise the public awareness on thecommunity’s responsibilities in the field.

Meanwhile, ThuanHuu, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association – the organiser ofthe festival – noted that during its five days of running, the festivalcovered various attractive activities such as ceremonies to offerincense to Hung Kings and honour founders of trade villages, and anexhibition showcasing traditional products from of craft villagesnationwide.

The association also chose Nguyen ThanhTu, a student of the Academy of Journalism and Communications who is oneof the 10 outstanding faces of the Ms AdAsia online photo beautycontest, as its charity ambassador.-VNA
