The 3rd International Festival of Vietnamese traditional martial arts opened in the central province of Binh Dinh on August 1 with the participation of 820 Vietnamese and foreign martial artists and coaches.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Duc Kien expressed hope that the participants will help promote Vietnam ’s traditional martial arts beyond the national border and contribute to enhancing cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and other nations around the world.
The festival, held in celebration of the 1,000 th founding anniversary of Thang Long- Hanoi , will last until August 4./.
