Five separate decisions on finance, tax, customs and stock market procedures were announced by the Ministry of Finance on August 12.

The decisions were accompanied by 840 updated documents outlining simplified procedures for filling in finance papers.

The Minister of Finance Vu Van Ninh, admitted that complicated administrative procedures had plagued business, wasting time and money.

“It’s the first time the financial sector has collected such a complete database of administrative procedures,” said Ninh.

In May this year, the ministry finished Form No 1, which includes documents on public finance, business finance, tax, public property management, price management, financial services and funds, customs and financial inspection.

The database has also been updated at the ministry website www.mof.gov.vn .

Chief administrator at the Ministry of Finance and head of the Special Work Team Nguyen Duc Chi said this was one way to receive responses from businesses and make adjustments.

The effort is part of Government’s Plan No 30 on administration reform. In the next phase, the ministry will work further on the legality and applicability of these documents./.
