First forest festival to take place in Dong Nai

A forest festival will be held for the first time in the southern province of Dong Nai at the end of November this year, raising public awareness of forest and biodiversity protection.
A forest festival will be held for the first time in the southern province of Dong Nai at the end of November this year, raising public awareness of forest and biodiversity protection.

The three-day festival is scheduled to take place at the Dong Nai Culture-Nature Reserve and Cat Tien National Park in the Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve. It is expected to attract the participation of 2,000 people.

Various activities including art performances, sports exchanges and a food exhibition along with workshops will also be organised to praise the important role played by forests.

According to Tran Quang Toai, Deputy Director of the provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department , the event aims to promote the country’s forest resources, while calling on people to join hands in protecting forests and their biodiversity and resources.

Through the festival, the province will also seek to create new tourism products, which will have an association with forests to draw more tourists to the locality.-VNA
