The event is part of “Italy Food Week in Vietnam 2024,” aimed at celebrating the differences and similarities between the two cultures, particularly through street food.
A standout feature of this year’s food fair is its focus on connecting Vietnamese and Italian cuisines, showcasing the similarities and relationships between the two.
Visitors had the chance to enjoy signature dishes prepared by renowned Italian and Vietnamese restaurants in Hanoi, including Gelato Italia, Luna d’Autunno, Fiorentina, Mediterraneo, Caffè Italia, Dragoncello, Cugini, Sanzio, Mano, and Ngon Restaurant.
The festival’s highlight was the introduction of traditional street food from both Vietnam and Italy, such as fried rice balls (supplì), pork sandwiches (porchetta), sandwiches with cow stomach sauce (lampredotto), fried pizza (pizza fritta), grilled meat skewers with green sauce (spiedini di maiale con salsa verde), Hanoi shrimp cakes, shrimp and pork spring rolls, and lotus seed and longan sweet soup with palm sugar./.
