The collection includes ao dai and scarf designs featuring patterns inspired from nine national treasures, which are being displayed at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts.
Each design is the result of a thorough research process, preserving the artistic spirit of the original works, while incorporating a new, modern creative style.
With this collection, DeSilk aims to connect the past and the present, bringing traditional art into contemporary life through refined digital art techniques.
The nine national treasures, that give inspiration to the silk collection, include artworks familiar to the public, such as ‘Two young women and a child’ by painter To Ngoc Van, ‘Uncle Ho in the Viet Bac War Zone’ by painter Duong Bich Lien, and ‘Little sister Thuy’ by painter Tran Van Can.
The integration of national treasures with applied design creates new artistic values, bringing cultural heritage closer to the public.
This aligns with the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum's goal of promoting, introducing, and spreading the values of national treasures and Vietnamese fine arts./
