Former experts, volunteer soldiers visit Cambodia

A delegation of Vietnamese former experts and volunteer soldiers, who helped free Cambodian people from the Pol Pot genocidal regime, is making a trip to Cambodia from March 21.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – A delegation of Vietnameseformer experts and volunteer soldiers, who helped free Cambodian people fromthe Pol Pot genocidal regime, is making a trip to Cambodia from March 21.

The delegation consists of 90 members, who are formerexperts and volunteer soldiers, family members of martyrs, and voluntarycontributors across seven cities and provinces in Vietnam.

At a meeting with the delegation in the Vietnam Embassy inCambodia on March 24, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh took theoccasion to brief his guests on Vietnam – Cambodia relations last year,particularly in trade and investment, as well as on Cambodia’s socio-economicdevelopment four decades after the war.

The same day, the delegation were joined by delegates fromthe embassy and the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in paying tribute to fallensoldiers at the Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Monument in Siem Reap province.

The trip of the former experts and volunteer soldiers ispart of activities marking the 40th anniversary of the victory of Vietnam’s southwestborder defence war and the joint victory on January 7 of Vietnam and Cambodiaover the genocidal regime (1979 - 2019).-VNA

Over 1.2 million students begin national high school graduation exam

Under the current examination format, candidates are required to complete the mandatory Literature and Mathematics tests, along with a combined test comprising two subjects selected from a range of options, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Technology-Industry, Technology-Agriculture, and Economics-Law. Students may also choose to take a foreign language different from the one studied at school.
