The new patients,including two Vietnamese citizens returning from the Czech Republic and twoIndian experts, have been quarantined in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Longand the capital city of Hanoi since their arrival.
Of the totalinfections, 691 are domestically-transmitted cases, including 551 patientsrelated to the COVID-19 outbreak in the central city of Da Nang since July 25,said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The subcommittee for treatmentreported that two more patients have been given the all-clear from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,raising the total number of recoveries to 1,153.
Among the patients nowundergoing treatment, six have tested negative for the virus once, 12 twice and12 thrice.
The number of deathrelated to the disease has been kept at 35 while there are currently nopatients in critical conditions.
As many as 15,772people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam frompandemic-hit regions are being quarantined across the country, including 201 inhospitals, 14,628 in concentrated quarantine establishments and 943 others attheir residences./.
