ViceMayor of Lyon city Max Vincent and other officials of Lyon and theRhone-Alpes region made the pledge during a recent meeting with Chairmanof Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan, who led adelegation on a working trip to France in the last week of June.

Thehost also said they will work to further all-round links with Vietnam’ssouthern metropolis in the future, especially in economics and culture.

HoChi Minh City has established twin relations with Lyon and theRhone-Alpes region, with many effective cooperation projects inculture, education and health care in the past.

Leaders of the twometropolises have also agreed to work closely together on heritagepreservation, urban planning and green growth, which are fields ofmutual interest.-VNA
