French firms learn about investment chances in Da Nang’s hi-tech park

Representatives from about 30 French enterprises participated in a seminar introducing investment opportunities in the hi-tech park in the central city of Da Nang held in Paris on September 11.

Paris (VNA) – Representativesfrom about 30 French enterprises participated in a seminar introducinginvestment opportunities in the hi-tech park in the central city of Da Nangheld by the French Business Federation (MEDEF) in Paris on September 11.

The event was part of the Da Nang Hi-TechPark (DHTP) Management Board’s investment promotion activities in Europe.

At the seminar, Director General of the boardPhung Tan Viet informed the participants of the park’s construction process anddevelopment plans.

Participating businesses were also briefedon Da Nang’s preferential policies and projects which need investment in the DHTP.

With a total area of more than 1,100ha, theDHTP is one of Vietnam’s three hi-tech parks, connecting industrial andeconomic zones in the key economic region in central Vietnam.

The park welcomes enterprises to visit andinvest in its projects, Viet added.

Michel Jonqueres, President of the MEDEF’sInternational Commission, said that Da Nang and the DHTP’s clear administrativeprocedures are an advantage that encourages investment.

He also expressed optimism about the twosides’ cooperation opportunities, especially with Da Nang hosting the APECLeaders’ Week 2017 in November and drawing leaders of 21 APEC economies andthousands of official delegates and heads of the world’s leading enterprises.

At present, the DHTP has more than 300ha ofland available for investment projects. In the first half of 2017, it attractedseven projects worth 158 million USD.-VNA
