Friendship organisation honours people helping prevent Hepatitis B

The San Francisco-Ho Chi Minh City Sister City Committee hosted a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on July 6 to honour organisations and individuals, who have contributed to preventing Hepatitis B and charitable activities in Vietnam.

Among people who were honored at the event were US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Le Thanh An, Vice Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmaceu Prof. Do Van Dung and historian Nguyen Dac Xuan.

Addressing the ceremony, US Consul General Le Thanh An said that the event aimed to further tighten the relations between the two countries.

This is the second honouring ceremony, which is held by the committee every two years.-VNA
