Vietnam ’s first-ever national fruit festival will take place in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang from April 19-24.
The festival aims to promote the trademarks of fruit grown in Vietnam and includes fruit fairs, festivities and competitions, along with seminars on domestic and foreign markets for fruit, and measures to create links among scientists, fruit growers, fruit processors and local authorities, as well as on models of ecological tourism.
The festival not only helps fruit businesses spread their trademarks and expand their markets but also provides a chance to share the latest techniques and new ideas on growing fruit, said organisers.
Several national records will be set at the festival, such as the largest map of Vietnam to be made entirely of fruit./.
