Germany grants scholarship for students

Germany’s Hessen State on April 29 held a ceremony at Da Nang University to grant scholarships for students studying at universities and colleges in the central region.
Germany’s Hessen State on April 29 held a ceremony at Da NangUniversity to grant scholarships for students studying at universitiesand colleges in the central region.

The activityis part of an educational cooperation programme between Vietnam Ministryof Education and Training and Hessen State Ministry for Science andArt, which aims to encourage disadvantaged students to successfullyaccomplish their study.

Under the programme, 24students from seven universities and colleges received scholarshipsworth five million VND each from Hessen State for 2010-2011.Ealier, Hessen State Ministry for Science and Art also granted 124scholarships for Vietnamese students nationwide.

Chief representative of the Hessen State office in Vietnam, Bui Cong Thosaid the Hessen scholarship fund not only supports Vietnamese studentsbut also helps boost cultural exchanges between the two countries./.

Search efforts continue for Vietnamese fallen soldiers in Cambodia
