Young people in Hanoi have rushed to a unique glamping site at the 65-floor Lotte Centre in Hanoi. A neologism ‘glamping,’ a combined word of ‘glamorous’ and ‘camping,’ has been made since a few years ago. Glamping is where stunning nature meets modern luxury. It’s a way to experience the untamed and completely unique parts of the world - without having to sacrifice creature comforts. The glamping movement is growing, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. Glamping today encompasses many accommodation experiences. Launched more than one month ago, the tents have been fully booked. The Lotte Centre Hanoi is a skyscraper in the city’s Ba Dinh district. Completed on September 2, 2014, the tower has 65 floors. The centre features a modern architectural style designed by Callison, an American company. This tower is the third tallest building in Vietnam, after Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City and the Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower in Hanoi’s Cau Giay district. The travel trend among tourists has changed significantly, with a heightened level of travel safety and more sustainable travel offerings emerging as a top priority as well as evolving preferences over where and with whom people travel. According to a survey conducted by online accommodation booking website Booking.com, over 20,000 tourists from 28 nations, including Vietnam, participated in the survey, which indicated that almost 73 percent of Vietnamese travelers appreciate more simple experiences such as spending time outdoors or with their families while on vacation.
