The Government acknowledged and highly valued the strong development and vital contributions of young businesspeople to the nation’s achievements in recent years.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the comment during a meeting with representatives of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA) in the capital city of Hanoi on February 11.

In addition to stepping up production and business and contributing to the State budget, young entrepreneurs have also paid attention to improving the living conditions of workers and assisting the poor, the PM said.

Representatives of young entrepreneurs promised to contribute further to the country, focusing on building global brand names, supporting the youth in starting careers, and fostering green and sustainable development.

VYEA encompasses more than 9,000 members, who have annually earned combined revenues of 25 billion USD and employed 1.5 million workers./.
