According to a decision, signed by the Prime Minister on Oct. 2, of the aid, Quang Binh province will receive 500 tonnes of rice and 20 billion VND, Quang Tri, 900 tonnes of rice and 40 billion VND, Thua Thien-Hue, 500 tonnes of rice and 60 billion VND, and Da Nang, 200 tonnes of rice and 40 billion VND.
Meanwhile, Quang Nam province will get 2,500 tonnes of rice and 100 billion VNA, Quang Ngai, 2,500 tonnes of rice and 80 billion VND, Binh Dinh, 1,400 tonnes of rice and 20 billion VND, and Kon Tum, 1,500 tonnes of rice and 100 billion VND.
The aid aims to help the victims to overcome hunger, buy seedlings to restart production and to rebuild schools, medical stations, irrigation and transport networks, as well as aid environmental hygiene and disease control./.
