Hai Phong (VNA) – As many as 430doctors and medical workers in the northern city of Hai Phong took part in a blood donation programme on April 16 at the Viet-Tiep Friendship Hospital, the leading hospital in the city.
This was anactivity to help ease a blood shortage for health care amid complicateddevelopments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Director of the hospital’s centre for hematology and blood transfusion Hoang VanPhong said that to ensure health safety fordonors, organisers provided hand sanitiser and face masks for them and checkedtheir body temperature.
As many as 420 blood units were collected at the event./.
