Halong Bay marathon to be held this weekend

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2019 will be held on November 24 at the home of the World’s Natural Heritage Site recognised by UNESCO, Ha Long Bay, in Quang Ninh province.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2019 will be held onNovember 24 at the home of the World’s Natural Heritage Site recognised byUNESCO, Ha Long Bay, in Quang Ninh province.

The annual event is one of the biggest international marathons in Vietnam.

This year, apart from local marathoners, more than 1,600 foreigners haveregistered for the race.

It aims at creating a healthy and positive environment where runningenthusiasts can challenge themselves, meet and share experiences over differentroutes ranging from 5km to 42km, including a track for children.

The special track offers runners a unique course across Bai Chay Bridge, thelongest single span bridge in Southeast Asia. Runners will have the chance toenjoy spectacular views over the magnificent landscape of the bay as well aspicturesque mountains and coast lines./.

Ukrainian cyclist wins stage 19 of national cycling tournament

Major prehistoric findings in Nghe An reveals ancient rituals
