In the first half, shipment of arts and handicrafts jumped 18.3 percent against the same period last year, compared to the country’s average export growth rate of 16.1 percent.
Especially, the revenue of suitcases, wallets, hats and umbrellas totaled 925 million USD, up 23.6 percent; pottery reached 218 million USD, up .6 percent; and bamboo products, 110 million USD.
So far, arts and handicrafts have entered the club of 11 biggest export earners.-VNA
