Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi is striving toattract over 500 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in June 2019,raising the total FDI capital to nearly 5.3 billion USD in the first half ofthe year, according to insiders.
In January-May, Hanoi led the country in FDIattraction with 4.79 billion USD.
Director of the municipal Department of Planningand Investment Nguyen Manh Quyen said Hanoi has been pushing ahead with administrativereforms and improvement of investment environment, as well as taking measuresto ease difficulties for businesses, especially administrative procedures.
The city strives to update all addressedadministrative dossiers through the one-stop information system to lure moreFDI projects, he said.
The official added that the State budget will beprioritised for technical infrastructure projects and those playing key role inpromoting socio-economic development.
The city welcomes investment in high technologyprojects and use and creation of clean energies, he said.
Other priority fields include health care,information technology, biotechnology, infrastructure development, humanresources training, research and development, and high-quality services.
Hanoi will reform its policies to lurelarge-scale investment projects with increased added values and usingenvironmentally-friendly technologies, according to Chairman of the municipalPeople’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.-VNA
