Hanoi postpones World Sepak Takraw tourney

The World Sepak Takraw Championship that had been scheduled to take place in Hanoi next month has been delayed.
The World Sepak Takraw Championship that had been scheduled to take place in Hanoi next month has been delayed.

According to Nguyen Xuan Hanh, the head of the Vietnam Sepak TakrawDepartment, the tournament was postponed because an internationalcompetition will be held in the Republic of Korea during the sameperiod.

The Vietnamese organisers were worried that the lack of participationwould lead to a mediocre tournament. Vietnam has also not been able toraise enough funds for the tournament.

The new date for the world championship has yet to be decided.
The Vietnamese national team, which includes 22 members, gathered together on March 1 to prepare for this year’s events.

The team will take part in the Vietnam Clubs Sepak Takraw Open whichwill be in October. The team is preparing to head to Guangzhou ’s 16 thAsian Games to defend their two gold medals that they won four yearsago./.

Hanoi introduces framework for 2026 Creative Design Festival
