
Leading a visiting delegation of the Vietnamese capital city, Dung paidcourtesy calls to General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary PartyCentral Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister PhankhamViphavan, and President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane.
During the meetings, the Vietnamese official congratulatedLaos’ achievements after 35 years of reform and informed his hosts about the outcomesof previous talks with his Vientiane counterpart Anouphap Tounalom.
Dung noted the talks saw both sides agreeing to sign the minutesof the bilateral cooperation agreement for 2022-2025, which he said will createa framework for joint works between the two capitals in the new period.
The contents of the minutes cover the enhancement of experiencesharing between the Hanoi and Vientiane People's Councils regarding the development of legaldocuments, and supervision and decision-making on important issues, amongothers.
Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that the results of collaborationover the past time and documents signed between the two capitals continue todeepen the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensivecooperation between the two countries' Parties, States and people.
Phankham Viphavan expressed his wish that Hanoi will shareits management experience with and support Vientiane and other Lao localitiesin the time to come.
Xaysomphone Phomvihane, meanwhile, appreciated theVietnamese capital for its practical contributions and support to thelocalities of Laos.
In the morning of the same day, the Hanoi delegation visitedand laid a wreath at the monument of Lao heroes and martyrs in Vientiane./.
