As many as 80 artists from 16 countries and territories around the world are expected to participate in the Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival 2010, which will take place from March 26-28.

Entitled “Green space”, the festival will be co-organised by the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the Culture Production and Development Company M.A.M, in the lead up to the millennial anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Musician Tri Minh, a representative of the organising board, said at a March 12 press briefing that this is the third festival of its kind to be held in Vietnam, with the participation of a larger number of Vietnamese and foreign artists.

The electronic-experimental music programme has also drawn interest from the public, especially the youth, and served as a chance for local artists to get access to world contemporary music, Minh said.

The festival will combine music with a series of activities designed to raise public awareness of environmental protection, along with fashion shows, games and film screenings./.
