Hanoi speeds up public investment disbursement

As of November 15, Hanoi disbursed 30.13 trillion VND (1.24 billion USD) worth of public investment, meeting 64.2% of the plan assigned by the Government, and 56.75% of its set target.

Hanoi (VNA) - As of November 15, Hanoi disbursed30.13 trillion VND (1.24 billion USD) worth of public investment, meeting 64.2%of the plan assigned by the Government, and 56.75% of its set target.

Total disbursement for this year is expected to hit 48.6 trillion VND, surpassing the assigned plan by 3.5% and fulfilling 91.5% of the settarget, said Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen TrongDong, noting that the committee has worked to remove bottlenecks in order tospeed up the work.  

For projects not using State budget capital with poorperformance in disbursement, the committee, departments and agencies have heldmany meetings to resolve their problems, he added.

Dong said the committee has completed investmentplans for three new projects and project groups and submitted them to the municipalPeople’s Council for approval, while instructing department andagencies to push ahead with the implementation of some other projects. /.

Vietnam, Thailand strengthen investment ties, smart city cooperation

Thailand is currently Vietnam's largest trading partner within ASEAN, while Vietnam ranks as Thailand's sixth-largest trading partner globally. Bilateral trade reached 22.07 billion USD in 2025, with both sides aiming to increase the figure to 25 billion USD in the coming years. Thailand also has 805 valid investment projects in Vietnam with a combined registered capital of 15.4 billion USD.

Deputy PM requests faster disbursement of ODA-funded projects

As of June 15, the disbursement rate for public investment funded by external sources had reached only 9.99% of the assigned plan. Although the figure was higher than in the same period last year, it remained well below the national average. Notably, one out of eight ministries and central agencies and 13 localities had yet to disburse any allocated capital.
