Hanoi (VNA) – Vice Standing Chairman of the Hanoi People’s CommitteeNguyen Van Suu emphasised that boosting cooperation and investment ties withBulgarian localities is a key task for the capital during a reception for BulgarianMinister of Economy Emil Karanikolov on September 17.
Atthe meeting, the Bulgarian minister said his country, as the current rotatingchair of the EU, will make efforts to push for the early signing of the freetrade agreement between the bloc and Vietnam.
Hestated that the Bulgarian Government will do its best to increase bilateralcooperation with Vietnam and help to create conditions for Vietnamese firms toreach Bulgaria and bring their goods to the 500-million-strong EU market.
Theofficial said his country has spent a great amount on building industrial parksaround the capital city of Sofia and expects that Hanoi might make someinvestments in these parks.
Healso called for the Vietnamese capital city’s enhanced engagements withBulgarian cities and provinces in health, transport, education, and trade.
Agreeingwith his guest, Suu said Hanoi is facing difficulties, particularly intransport and construction, during its current rapid development.
Thecity is looking forward to collaboration with the Bulgarian capital acrosssectors like industry, trade, tourism, and exports, he added.
Theofficial noted that about 25 companies in Hanoi are ready to cooperate with theBulgarian side.
Hesaid the local authorities will create good conditions for both sides to formpartnerships in contribution to boosting Vietnam-Bulgaria relations. –VNA
