Vietnamese Embassy pays tribute to Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane on 105th birth anniversary

President Kaysone Phomvihane was an outstanding statesman who, together with Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and Lao President Souphanouvong, laid a firm foundation for the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion between the two countries.

Vientiane (VNA) – A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos headed by Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam visited the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum and the Laos – Vietnam Friendship Park in Vientiane on December 12 to lay wreaths in commemoration of President Kaysone Phomvihane on his 105th birth anniversary (December 13, 1920–2025).

The ceremony was attended by a large number of officials and staff members of the embassy, along with representatives of Vietnamese agencies, businesses, and community in Laos.

President Kaysone Phomvihane was an outstanding statesman who, together with Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and Lao President Souphanouvong, laid a firm foundation for the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion between the two countries.

At the ceremony, participants expressed profound gratitude for the immense contributions of President Kaysone Phomvihane – a leader who devoted his entire life to the liberation, construction, and development of Laos. He played a significant role in nurturing the special Vietnam – Laos bond.

They affirmed their determination to continue working and studying, thereby contributing to further strengthening and promoting the special bilateral solidarity.

To mark the leader's 105th birth anniversary, a friendly football match between the Vietnamese community in Laos and Lao agencies, organised by the embassy, also took place later the same day./.
