Vientiane (VNA) - The Party, State, Government, National Assembly and people of Laos gathered in a rally in Vientiane on December 12 to mark the 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13).
In his address, Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith recalled Kaysone’s illustrious revolutionary life and immense contributions to the Lao revolution, saying that the late leader devoted his entire life to national independence, people’s well-being and the country’s sustainable development.
On this occasion, Thongloun called on all officials, Party members and people from all ethnic groups to uphold solidarity and continue emulating Kaysone’s moral example and working style in pursuit of a more prosperous, developed and civilised Laos that delivers greater happiness and well-being to its people./.
