Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam won three gold, 11 silver and 24 bronze medals at the Challenge for Future Mathematicians held in Malaysia from December 8-11.

The three gold medals went to Hoang Truong Phuc from Thanh Xuan Secondary School, Dang Cuong Thanh from Doan Thi Diem Primary School and Phan Tung Duong from Giang Vo Secondary School, all in Hanoi.

Challenge for Future Mathematicians is an international contest held annually from 2014 in alternating countries for pupils from grade 3 to 8.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training on December 12 announced that Le Huynh Duc from the city’s Nguyen Hue gifted High School won a silver medal at the 15th International Russian Language Olympiad.

The competition was held in Russia from December 3-8, drawing more than 2,500 competitors from 44 nations and territories.-VNA
