
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam won threegold, 11 silver and 24 bronze medals at the Challenge for Future Mathematiciansheld in Malaysia from December 8-11.
The three gold medals went to Hoang TruongPhuc from Thanh Xuan Secondary School, Dang Cuong Thanh from Doan Thi DiemPrimary School and Phan Tung Duong from Giang Vo Secondary School, all inHanoi.
Challenge for Future Mathematicians is aninternational contest held annually from 2014 in alternating countries forpupils from grade 3 to 8.
The Hanoi Department of Education andTraining on December 12 announced that Le Huynh Duc from the city’s Nguyen Huegifted High School won a silver medal at the 15th International RussianLanguage Olympiad.
The competition was held in Russia fromDecember 3-8, drawing more than 2,500 competitors from 44 nations andterritories.-VNA
