Hanoi to invest 13 trillion VND in clean water supply

The Hanoi People’s Committee has approved a 13 trillion VND (619 million USD) plan on clean water supply and rural environmental hygiene until 2020 with a vision to 2030.
The Hanoi People’s Committee has approved a 13 trillion VND (619 millionUSD) plan on clean water supply and rural environmental hygiene until2020 with a vision to 2030.

Under the plan, by 2020, all ruralhouseholds will be supplied with hygienic water, of which 80 percentwill be clean water meeting the standard of the Ministry of Health(MoH).

All rural residents will have access to clean water under the MoH standard by 2030.

Regarding environmental hygiene, 100 percent of rural households willhave hygienic outhouses and solid waste in all livestock farms will betreated.

50 percent of polluted craft villages will have wastetreatment and 100 percent of rural markets will have hygienicouthouses.-VNA

Excavation for war remains begins in Quang Ngai

Y Ngoc, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the provincial Steering Committee for the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains, said the mission aims to conduct definitive excavation and verification to bring home the remains of martyrs from Regiment 24A, the B3 Front, Special Forces Battalion 406, and Infantry Battalion 304, who fell during the 1968 Tet Offensive.
