Hanoi (VNA) – A commemorative plaque for Thien Quang lake flower garden was unveiled in Hanoi on October 18 in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation (October 10).

The garden project has total investment of over 88.7 billion VND (3.54 million USD), with construction cost amounting to 67.1 billion VND. Its construction began on February 5, designed to provide a much-needed space for cultural and sport activities in the heart of the city, according to the Hai Ba Trung district People’s Committee.

Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Duong Duc Tuan said in line with the municipal Party Committee’s programme on urban and economic development in Hanoi for the 2021-2025 period, the city has focused on renovating and upgrading parks and flower gardens, with remarkable results.

He asked the district to continue completing the renovation of Thong Nhat park and relic sites like Quang Hoa, Thien Quang and Phap Hoa pagodas. The goal is to create a harmonious cultural and green space that seamlessly connects with Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street, transforming the area into a lively hub for culture, arts and community activities.

This initiative is a crucial step toward building a green, clean, beautiful, civilised, modern Hanoi which is rich in culture, he stressed./.
